Megalith Technology Ltd. (MTL) is collaborating with its Chinese partners, including Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA) and Southern Medical University (SMU),to development an innovated home health care system, by using low-cost robots and cloud computing technology. Our aim is to deliver smart and reliable tele-medical solutions to empty-nested elderly for a better life.
The new system is a home-based robotic platform which will be able to:
1. Move spontaneously within the pre-set area following the default programs.
2. Recognize and follow vocal or remote commands.
3. Detect the environmental parameters, including temperature, light and so on.
4. Monitor the vital signals, such as pulse, breath, body temperature, blood pressure, etc.
5. Diagnose the elderly remotely based on the environmental parameters, vital signals, and remote video conference.
6. Connect the elderly to family or nurse station staff via multimedia communication.
7. Collect all the data and transfer them to the cloud for analysis.
The personalized Big Data could provide the atlas of elderly`s mental and physical states, diet habits and so forth. Some diseases could be detected at the early stages by analyzing the data. It could as well remind the elderly for medicines, appointments etc., and help them in emergency.
